Home->How We Serve->Berks County Youth Center
Many of what the world might consider the "toughest youth" in our city are being ministered to each week within the Berks County Youth Center walls.
We are reaching roughly 50+ youth every week through either small groups, or individual counseling/prayer sessions. Each week they are hearing about God's redeeming love and wonderful grace and mercy. Each week they are being taught how to forgive, how to love, and how to take negative circumstances and allow God to turn it from a loss into a gain. We feel it is an honor to be a part of such a beautiful process.
The youth in this county, and even counties beyond, need our prayers; they also need our love and compassion, yet courage to speak God's truth.
Please pray that the Lord continue to do a mighty work in their hearts. Pray that they have eyes to see and ears to hear. Ask God to reveal himself to them in such a way that they will be unable to deny He exists.
Please join with us in our mission to ensure that every teenager within those walls leave a better person than they were when they first arrived.
We are not only asking for your support through prayer, but there are also other ways you can help support this mission as well:
We are in need of devotions:
* Books in both English and Spanish:
Devotionals, Message and study bibles, inspirational books, the Left Behind series
* Decks of cards
* Coloring books and crayons (yes, they like to color even at 15)
* Gently used clothing and shoes for youth ages 10-17
* Puzzles (500+ pieces)
We are also in need of men and women who would like to come and share their testimony with these wonderful young people.
Please contact the RBCC office if you are able to help in any way.
As always, thank you!
