“Just So You Know…”

Harvest Season at the potato project is about to get underway!  Wednesday August 9^th at 9AM on the Raudenbush Farm, 435 Dryville Rd., Fleetwood, PA 19522 – we’ll be picking in the first of four sections of Sweet Corn to be immediately transported to the Greater Berks Food Bank to help local hungry neighbors in need.  Come and help with this if you can – it’s a walk-in event for a couple of hours. If there’s enough folks, we’ll harvest some onions too! Then we will turn out every Wednesday till done to pick the four sections twice on through September, once a week in one section.

September starts the Potato Harvest!  SignUp your Group on the WebSite – Google: IHartHarvest  or direct at:  https://sites.google.com/site/ihartharvestinc/project-2017/harvest-signup  We need harvest help, baggers, some hospitality tent helpers, taters washers, cutters, French fry tasters, or just come along with your group to cheer them on and crack the whip! We’ll be at Becker’s St. Peter’s EL Church, Miller’s Plot and the bottom or the hill, and at Raudenbush Farm this year for the main crops.

There will be lots of carrots to harvest too this year, 2.5 acres at the KU PA German Heritage Center! And maybe some sweet potatoes and watermelon out and about.

Help with financial stewardship too if you can. We are currently experiencing a projected free-will donation shortfall between $5,000 – $22,000.00 looking too the end of our season.
