St. Paul’s UCC of Birdsboro is sponsoring our class which is hosted by Daniel Boone Schools in room 135  at the High School in Birdsboro, PA. Classes meet on the 3^rd Monday of each month from 6:30 to 8PM. The classes are open to everyone, and you are welcome to participate in as many or as few as you wish – all are completely FREE.

Our first class will be on September 17, 2018.

Holy Listening will be our first practice: A way of listening with the heart.

Our instructors are  Pat Babel, Spiritual Director, Dawnita Smith, Art Teacher and Art Therapist (December 2018) and Janeen Adil, Minister of Christian Spirituality, Spiritual Director..

Contemplative practices have been known to increase empathy and improve attention, as well as to quiet the mind. There is a need for healing in the current polarization of our country. But instead, conversations are difficult. The idea of making connections, then finding common ground for peace making is hopeless without prayer and mindful contemplation.

Our hope is to provide a safe venue where participants can engage in Contemplative Practices and conversations that may lead them to connect with God/Divine or connect with God/Divine on a deeper level while connecting with each other.
