We invite you to be a part of “ONE”, a brand new publication highlighting the work of God within Berks county. The title, “ONE”, represents Jesus’ prayer for all His followers to be one. This prayer is recorded in the gospel of John, chapter 17, where He prays: “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
Within the pages of this exciting publication you will find timely articles giving testimony to efforts of unity which serve the Berks County community, including: the good news of faith in action; insight, encouragement and understanding from the many expressions of Christianity; highlights and insights from other faiths serving our community; and faith at work in education, the arts, media, and the marketplace.
We believe this publication will be a catalyst for deeper unity and involvement in the community from the Church. What a great way to gain insight into what God is doing through willing individuals to make positive contributions to Berks County. “ONE” will celebrate and acknowledge the diverse body of believers who strive to “be one as we are one”.
