“Collectively it is about the Whole”
The other day while pondering the “Body of Christ”, the “Church”, the “Bride”, I heard “Collectively it is about the Whole.”
What Jesus presents to us is Himself, His love, His peace, His joy, His hope, His faith, His precious Holy Spirit to guide and lead, His rest, His security, His protection, His healing, and His truth just to scratch the surface of His loving benefits.
Not just for one of us, not just for a few of us, but for the “whole” of us. For His entire Body.
Jesus collectively gathered us unto Himself and invited us to Him to become the Whole of Him.
You see the love of Christ is not just for me, not just for you…..but for all. One person is not more important than the other, one function is not more important than the other…..we all need each other to complete the form, His Form.
There is a mighty job to do, a job that will require all of His Body. Collectively we are His Bride, His Church, His Body. We are the “whole” that comes together in love to represent or re-present King Jesus.
Come let us gather and give thanks and praise to our Head, Jesus.
He is the Head of the body made up of His people—that is, His Church—which He began; and He is the Leader of all those who arise from the dead, so that He is first in everything – Colossians 1:18 (TLB)
