The GoodIdea – Servant & Leader

Hello to all!

It is on my heart to share with you a message about servant and leaders. I was in a meeting last week where we spoke on servants and leaders. Right away my thoughts drifted off to hearing “not all servants are leaders BUT ALL leaders are servants.”

We are in a day and time when our world has come to “all hands on deck.” No longer do we look to one ministry, one leader, one company, or one voice. (Except Jesus)

This is the corporate hour. This is the hour in which we stand together, walk together and be one together. Oneness not sameness.

Many people are called to serve in many different capacities but these same people may not be called to lead the group or the vision in which they serve. That is God’s way. He has called us all to a different function within His body.

BUT ALL leaders who are called are called to serve. WHY? Because Jesus is the greatest leader of all and HE CAME TO SERVE. He washed the feet of His followers, He ate last, He sat last, He healed, He delivered, and He came to save, to clean, to host, and to love. He shepherds His sheep to this very day.

Jesus is servant leader of all.

Mark 10:45 (ESV) – For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

1 Peter 4:10 (ESV) – As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace…

So, I share this to say this….leaders humble thy selves to serve the ones who follow. Humble thy selves to serve those who serve.

I come humbly in His service, Nancy
