Good Friday
March 30, 12:00-3:00 PM in the Nave. Come and go as you are able.
On Friday, March 30 we commemorate the three hours Jesus hung on the cross with a traditional service of the Seven Last Words of our Lord. A different preacher expounds on each of the words, accompanied by choir anthems, prayers, and hymns. We thank Pastors Elton Richards, Fred Opalinski, John Richter, Rick Chaveas, and Virginia Biniek, who will join Pastor Alan Wolkenhauer and Deaconess Deborah Graf in proclaiming the Word of God for this holy service. The meditation on each of the seven words will be available on YouTube through Trinity’s Facebook page.
The Resurrection of Our Lord
Sunday, April 1, 8:30 and 11:00 AM -both in the nave.
Alleluia! Christ is risen! Festive worship will be offered in the Nave at both 8:30 and 11:00 in celebration of God’s victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. Because he lives, we shall live also!
Between services, the Fellowship Committee will serve an Easter breakfast (beginning around 9:30), a time to celebrate the resurrection with Christian fellowship and delicious food. An Easter Egg Hunt for the children (and adults who want to watch) will begin around 10:15. Bring a basket.
Parking note: Parking is always a challenge at Trinity on Easter Sunday and we want to be sure that those with physical disabilities and those who are visiting our congregation can find space in our lot. If it is possible for you to park on the street (no charge on Sundays), in the Lincoln Tower garage at no charge (enter on Washington Street), or in the MBT lot at Fifth and Washington (also no charge), it would be very helpful. Thank you.
